Cannabis Equity Grant Program: A $10 million pilot program that is specifically designed for conditional and annual recreational cannabis license holders. The program aims to support new cannabis businesses by providing them with financial assistance for their start-up and operational costs during the first three years of their operation. The program offers two grant products: Joint Ventures and Seed Equity grants. The Joint Ventures grant awards $250,000, while the Seed Equity grant awards $150,000. Businesses can only receive one award per Employer Identification Number (EIN) throughout the program’s lifespan.

Wineries and Vineyards: Financing for equipment surrounding New Jersey wineries and vineyards.

Child Care Facilities Improvement Program: Offers grants between $50,000 and $200,000 to licensed child care providers in New Jersey for facility improvements. The grants aim to support businesses, including those in Opportunity Zone eligible census tracts, and promote healthy childhood environments, particularly for those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The program also aims to support infant and toddler care in alignment with the expansion of Universal Pre-K and encourage participation in the child care quality improvement rating system, Grow NJ Kids. There are set asides for providers located in Opportunity Zones and requirements to serve low-income children receiving Child Care Assistance subsidies.

NJDEA’s NJ Amusement Park Grant Program: A pilot grant program that makes grant funding available to for-profit establishments that operate indoor amusement parks, arcades, and entertainment facilities, and demonstrate a minimum 50 percent reduction in indoor gross revenue for the 12-month period beginning April 1, 2019. The program will provide eligible applicants with up to $150,000 to offset losses incurred due to decreased business as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
